SKU:
TMY-Roofshades

This two piece glass roof shade is split into front and rear, so they can be installed individually. If both are installed they cover the top sunroof and not the rear window.
It also has separate silver blockout shields that Velcro on top of the mesh shades.
Unlike a single piece version, it has very little sagging due to the split design providing extra support in the middle.

Features a collapsible spring frame that can be “folded” up for storage.

Keep the heat out in summer and reduce the air-con’s energy consumption. Protect your car’s interior from sun damage.

Kit contents
2 Mesh shades, 2 foil shields, securing clips and storage bag.

Installation instructions.
The shades will unfold and pop out.
The larger shade fits into the front of the sunroof, the smaller shade for the rear. The "Model Y" tags go towards the front of the car for the front shade, and towards the rear for the rear shade. You can use 2 clips in the middle between the 2 shades for some extra stability.
Attach the foil if needed. Hold the shade against the glass in position, then attach the clips onto the shade and slide them under the trim.

To collapse them down for storage, hold two opposite corners and twist.

SUNROOF SHADES SPILT SET FOR TESLA MODEL Y

I find the heat and glare coming through the roof in my MY uncomfortable. I had clear tint installed but found it was pretty much ineffective. So thought I’d try shades. I’m really pleased with the quality and performance of these shades for the price. They we’re really easy to fit and have made such a difference with reducing glare and heat into the car.

Waiting for car so not fitted yet but same reflective layer plus inner mesh worked brilliantly on our M3. Being in two sections (front and rear) is handy as is easier to fit and should sag less. Based on last summer in our M3 these really stop the heat from blasting in and are essential for Perth.
